VOLUNTEERING FOR INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE-6

tashi-in-action

We need at least 50 volunteers to come and help us manage the waste at Dharamsala Cricket Stadium between the 15th and 19th of May. We are looking for true Warriors, hard working and dedicated and committed to the cause. This is a massive opportunity for us and we want to show the world what Waste Warriors is all about.

On the days of the games 16th and 18th May, volunteers will be working in teams and will be responsible for specific areas in the stadium making sure the vendors have garbage bags and are using them, that dustbins are placed appropriately and brought to our segregation areas when full. We want to maximize on segregation to ensure that we can recycle as much of the waste as possible. You’ll need to talk to the public and ask them to use bins and the buckets provided for food waste.

IPL-cleaning-campaign
waste-warriors-iplWe’ll be working in shifts sometimes outside the stadium cleaning the car park areas and the roads leading to the gates. After the games we’ll be cleaning the stands, again collecting in a way to ensure we can recycle as much as possible. The atmosphere is electric and nothing beats that feeling of working together as a team. It will be an experience you’ll never forget. Volunteers that work hard and don’t just run off to watch the game will get to meet the Kings XI team.

If you are serious about helping us please send an email with the subject header “I want to be an IPL Waste Warrior” to Dharamsala@wastewarriors.org. Please tell us on which dates you will be available and where you are coming from. We’ll then send you some info so you can decide if you have what it takes to be the ultimate Waste Warrior !
